Rose Garden

This is essentially a rose garden in Darien, Connecticut. What attracted me to do a painting of this, other than the flowers, is the mystery that is created when there is a path which disappears. As in arbors, which invite you in, there are steps that invite you to see what's up there...an element of mystery.
