Red Havens

Often I cannot explain why I paint something. This row of peaches is such an example. It seems to have something to do with three in a row, the beat up baskets and the color and texture of the fruit. Some artists I have known over the years have said something quite interesting: “we don’t find the scenes, the scenes find us”.
