Grannies and Galas

Autumn is my favorite season. And apples in baskets, in orchards or on kitchen tables, have always been a part of the season. Add to that the fact that this basket has been in our family for a great many years, the combination of the apples, the basket, the history, the memories and the tastes and smells give a sense of continuity and serenity.
