Flag Waver

On a trip to Italy, we spent a couple of days in the town of Siena. We were awakened the second day by a bell ringing and drums beating, and found these people marching through the streets with flags waving and celebrating in the colors of their local neighborhoods. It's a tradition that goes back hundreds of years, and I very much wanted to capture something of the pride and history and celebration.
