Whenever I go to Lancaster County to gather material for Amish Paintings, I am struck anew with the apparent culture clash. One time I saw two black clad, straw hatted boys deliriously happy about a pink plastic water gun that they had just bought. And here is a young boy who just bought a brightly colored yard stick, and his friends wanted to see the treasure.
